Our dance courses not only provides you with an interesting avenue for exercising, achieving healthy lifestyle, it also allows you to build self confidence and opportunities to meet new fun loving friends and people in classes that improves your social lifestyle.

Q: Do I need to bring a partner for the classes?

Absolutely no! You can attend the classes individually or with your friends. As partners will be rotated in class, it will be a great way to meet new friends!

Q: Can I attend the classes even if I have never danced before?

As long as you are interested in the dance, it doesn’t matter if you have any dance experience! Our instructors are trained to teach individuals from zero dance background to experience dancers. Our school emphasis on detailed teaching and strong fundamental building best suits all especially students who had never danced before.

Q: What if I miss a class, how do I make-up for the session?

En Motion Dance School allows student who miss lesson to re-attend the same class that they miss, when it is conducted again on a future date.

Alternatively, on goodwill (and instructor’s availability) we will usually conduct a 20min short make-up session for the student on the following lesson before the class commence.

To add on, En Motion Dance School also provides a annual membership system whereby paid members will get to re-attend all the classes he or she signed up before for free in the entire year. Thus, member students who miss any lesson can choose to re-attend the entire course again.

Q: I have attended Salsa or other dance classes before, which level should I begin in?

Street Latin Dance (Salsa, bachata etc) is a very unique genre on its own, and each dance school has its own syllabus and styles.

Thus for students who have prior Street Latin Dance background, our instructors will usually conduct a short 5 min assessment to better advise on which is a suitable level for the student to join in. This will ensure all our students are attending a suitable course at their own comfortable pace.

For students who have prior other dance background (e.g. Latin Ballroom, Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet etc) it is strongly recommended to commence from the Beginner Level 1 as the fundamentals and basic of the dance is very different from the other dances. It is always good to build a strong foundation in a new dance before moving to a higher level.

Q: What kind of attire & footwear should I go for the class?

Attire:
Just come in anything you feel comfortable in and allows you to move freely. Preferably Work out or gym attire will be better.

Footwear:
For ladies, it is recommended to wear dance heels/ jazz shoes/dance sneakers for class. If you do not own any of these types of shoes, comfortable track shoes or heels with back ankle straps are also acceptable.

For gentlemen, jazz shoes or dance sneakers will be great. Track shoes or normal covered shoes are also fine as long as they are comfortable and easy to move in.

No flip flops for class though!
