"En Motion may be not the 1st school that I started with. I have been dancing salsa for 4 years plus. I have been trying to be better social dancer so I had tried difference school. Until I come to know En motion and learn from Gary. Then realise the frame and tension of a follower. I am glad to come to know en motion and their instructors. "The beautiful but complex moves that we see at Salsa clubs intrigue and fascinate us but also makes it intimidating to learn. Beginners often find excuses to take the first step by saying they are not coordinated. They complain of being self conscious and shy. Well at En Motion, there are so many opportunities to try out in the Salsa Trial Class where the instructors show the easy and fun way of learning salsa even if one has not danced before. While a newcomer to salsa may be doubtful of his or her own ability to pick up the dance, during the trial class Gary and Catherine break down the steps in an easy to understand manner and before that 1 hour is up, many are already able to dance the basic steps and understand how the salsa dance is executed.
Also because there are always 2 instructors at a class, both the male and female roles are explained clearly during the class. The optimum instructor to student ratio and the opportunities to rotate and change partners in a class allow the student to practice with many partners and thus maximize the learning curve.
Finally, free Salsa and Bachata nights monthly ensure that there is an opportunity to practice with your classmates in a non-threatening environment so that when you finally go to the club, the moves can be executed confidently and with grace."
